Since 1838 the Archiginnasio Palace has housed Bologna's Municipal Library, which has more than 6,000 painted and stuccoed coats-of-arms left behind by the rectors, students, popes and cardinals.

Bologna's Town Hall is much more than a simple venue for town hall meetings. It also houses the Municipal Art Collection, Morandi Museum and the Papal Legate Rooms. A reservation may be required to visit, so it's advisable to call ahead.
BulletTwo Towers (Le Due Torre)

The two towers that rise over Bologna's Piazza di Porta Ravegnana are among the most notable of Bologna's landmarks. The taller, the Torre degli Asinelli, is named after its patrons and was built in 1109. It can be climbed for a view of the city. The Garisenda Tower is notable for its obvious tilt, which was already serious enough by the year 1351 the structure was shortened for preservation. Internal tours of the Garisenda tower are not available.
